Why I plant butterfly bushes.

This lovely butterfly is a meadow fritillary. This is the first time I've ever seen one in our yard. Usually they like to hang around wetlands; I wonder if it's here because of all the rain we've had lately? It seems to really like our butterfly bush "Pink Delight."

It was only by chance that I had a camera on hand when I spotted this butterfly. Lucky me!
