All I can say is...I don't know why people think that Christian Bale would've been the ideal Lupin.

One of the things that kind of sucks about being bi-cultural is that you have a 50-50 chance of getting pop-culture references wrong.

In this case, I spent several bewildered minutes trying to figure out why Christian Bale or David Thewlis was being cast as Arsene Lupin III.

Then I read the next paragraph.
