What to say?
Don't you love it when you put your headphones on and turn on your discman without realizing that the volume was set to full blast by the PREVIOUS USER? Owww.....;_;
It's nice and cool today. We turned off the A.C for the first time in over a week. We were supposed to have a high of 80 degrees, but it only made it to 68. Nice! ^_^
I'm on row 16 on the back of the MSD coat. Still no mistakes. Yay! I'm going to give it a rest for the night because my fingers are sore again. Do I have to work up callouses to make the pain go away?
Not much else going on here. I'm sick and tired of squashing the clothing moths that have been flitting around my room all night. Once you've had one of these things try to climb in your ear you start to loathe all flying insects. Hate. Bugs.
I was going to have a little rant tonight, but Kristen pretty much covered it for me. All I can say is...I don't know why people think that Christian Bale would've been the ideal Lupin. I can think of a big problem for him--he's 28! I know that blah blah blah, people love Lupin so much that they want him to be gorgeous, and a lot of people have complained that at 40 David Thewlis is much, much too old to play him. Uh....the youngest Lupin could have been in Book 3 is 36. My biggest gripe about David Thewlis (besides the fact that I saw Dragonheart and it was not pretty) is that he seems a little too tall. I heard he's 6'3''--that's pretty tall for Lupin, isn't it? Maybe I only feel that way is because the tallest person in my household is 5'10''. ^_^;....
But why hasn't anyone ever heard of positive thinking? I'm not the biggest fan of Gary Oldman, but I am willing to become one to combat people who are convinced that Jude Law would have been a better Sirius Black. I have nothing against these pretty young actors. I just don't think you can randomly insert them into roles in order to appease fans of the character and not have the movie quality suffer.
I am too itchy from the bugs to think of anything better to talk about. Sorry ^_^!
Cultural wackiness
One of the things that kind of sucks about being bi-cultural is that you have a 50-50 chance of getting pop-culture references wrong.
In this case, I spent several bewildered minutes trying to figure out why Christian Bale or David Thewlis was being cast as Arsene Lupin III.
Then I read the next paragraph.
Oops.
Re: Cultural wackiness
I think that would be an easy enough mistake to make! I was just running off at the mouth there--I probably should have specified the topic when I first started talking about it. My English professors would be shaking their fists at me. ^o^;....
