That green thing Anise is holding is a leaf from one of our basil plants. For those of you familiar with the herb--isn't that the biggest frigging leaf you've ever seen?! O_O Valentino basil is supposed to have larger leaves than the other varieties but this is ridiculous! We grew the same kind last year and it didn't even come close to that. Did we get a mutant strain of seeds this year? We minced some of it for a salad tonight. I hope we don't turn into monsters.....o_o....

Wow! That is a massive basil leaf! My mom grows a lot of her own herbs, and hers have never been that big. Anise looks so tiny and cute with it :-)

^_^ Thank you! Anise hasn't been wired or sueded, and it was pretty hard to get her to cooperate in that picture!

I thought it would make a nice hat, too!

But unfortunately we ate that one last night, in a nice salad with fresh tuna and cannelini beans ^_^;;....oh well, I'll just have to wait for another one to grow!
