Climbing up the hill...again.

I've written six pages toward my next goal so far this weekend. I hope I'm not tricking myself into writing nonsense just to fill a quota! Oh well, I'll just have to fix it up in the second draft...

I went to Target yesterday to see if they had stocked any of the new Monster High dolls. I figured I wouldn't be able to find anything, so I told myself I was going to buy tea and more Cracklin' Oat Bran. Unfortunately, the Monster High section was completely bare save for a single 2.0 Cleo. I don't need her, obviously. Other than that, nada. It's been nada all over for the past three weeks. I don't know if this is just a bad time, or if my area usually never gets anything. The only Monster High dolls I haven't had to order online were Skull Shores Abbey, Day at the Maul Frankie and Phys Dead Ghoulia.

They had a few Lalaloopsy Littles in stock, but only from the first wave. Did the second wave even come out yet? They had a Squirt Lil'Top that was in much better shape than the one I returned to TRU. I still didn't buy her. I guess the spell's been broken. Specs Reads-A-Lot is cuter than I thought, though! I didn't buy her, either. $16.99 still strikes me as pricey for such a small doll.

The Coral Sea Shells they had in the store had much darker hair than the one I own. I wonder if they applied the color change lacquer too thickly?

I have no idea when the Howleen/Clawdeen set is coming out. Some people say the end of February. I hate to think that set is going to be so hard to find, but if Target isn't restocking...I live only a ten minute drive for my local store, so it's disheartening to think that I won't have a prayer.

The Second Wave Lalaloopsy Littles have been out at TRU for some time. Given the month or so gap between Lalaloopsy Little Wave 1's appearance at TRU and then at Target, I'd guess Wave 2 will show up at non-TRU locations in a few weeks to a month. I am fairly certain that TRU has some kind of limited-time exclusivity deal... like maybe they've made a deal with MGA so they exclusively have each wave of Lalaloopsy Littles for a month or so before other retailers can order them.

The Hartford area Targets are getting more and more of the Operetta wave. I hope they show up closer to you soon!

Thanks for the information! I'm looking forward to more Littles showing up at Target. Not only does TRU charge quite a bit more, but the nearest store is a 35 minute drive away. The Target in Meriden is only a 10-12 minute trip. XD

You gave me good luck with Skull Shores Abbey a month ago. I hope the stores restock soon! This is getting kind of ridiculous!

I've been patiently stalking the Target shelves ever since I realized that the Target and Wal-Mart prices for Lalaloopsy Little was the same as TRU's "sale price". :p I hope the second wave shows up soon... I like the little sailor boy, but no way am I paying TRU prices for him!

I hate to sound forward, but would you like me to keep an eye out for new Monster High figures as they come out? If you'd prefer to hunt for them yourself, I totally understand. I just thought I'd make the offer. :)

I like Matey Anchors, too! I think that Pita Mirage is pretty cute as well. There's no way I'd pay TRU prices for them, either. The dolls I've seen at Target aren't exactly flying off the shelves, so I figure it's just a matter of time.

That's really sweet of you to offer! I would actually really appreciate the help, if it isn't too much trouble. I'm not having a good time hunting these dolls at all. No Targets or Wal-marts in the Meriden-Wallingford area seem to be restocking at this point, unless the dolls are really selling out that quickly.

The problem is that I usually can only hit the stores on the weekend after 6 pm, and only every couple of weeks if I'm lucky. At this point the only new item I'm really looking for is the Target exclusive Howleen/Clawdeen set. I think it might be coming out at the end of next month. At least, that's what the scalpers say. XD

Have you seen the original Frankie Stein (in the short plaid dress with Watzit) in any stores near you lately? I saw her sold at Target last month, but I was too stoopid to pick her up. It seems like she's long gone in my area, even though the Target website says she's available in stores.

I've probably been missing the boat showing up at 7pm on Saturday every two weeks. I think I need all the help I can get. :D

The target & tru in Michigan has been dry for a while. But I can find alot of other ones except the new ones

I don't think I've seen a stocked store in my area since before Christmas. I wouldn't mind seeing a few older dolls, like Dawn of the Dance Ghoulia. Browsing stores is really boring when the shelves are completely bare!
