Livejournal is up and running again! :D

Today I had lunch with Kristen and my parents at a Chinese restaurant in New Haven called the Royal Palace. It's been a long time since I had Chinese food other than the usual horrible take-out and it was good! I ordered Sliced Chicken with Chinese Eggplant. The menu said it was hot and spicy but that didn't scare me. It wasn't anyway. I really liked the sauce; rather than the oily sesame-flavored one you usually find on that dish it was sweet and gingery. Kristen ordered Beef with Broccoli, my father asked for his usual Chicken with Cashews and Mom, as predictable as ever, ordered Shrimp Lo Mein. I heard that restaurant received favorable reviews. Whenever I eat take-out Chinese I say I never want to eat it again but I would definitely try the Royal Palace again.

I spent the rest of the day drinking tea, watching His and Her Circumstances and enjoying the hell out of Dragon Quest VIII. Oh, I also worked on my story. I'm finding plot problems that I'd better work out before I start writing for real!

I took a chance on a tea called Mary Twining Spiced Tea that I found at the Christmas Tree Shoppe. I love tea with spices on principle but I've drunk some awful ones over the past few years. I liked this one a lot! It's flavored with ginger and cinnamon which is safe compared to tea with nasty ingredients like hibiscus. I regret that I only bought one box and the kitschy hell-hole is the Christmas Tree Shoppe is forty minutes away. ;_;
