It's unusually cool and windy for mid-June today but that's fine by me. I like being able to sleep with four blankets in the morning.

Apparently my father and older brother have been bonding lately. It tires me when they start talking to each other because they have a strict "no women allowed in our range of vision" policy, they laugh too loud about intellectual things and sooner or later they always refer to someone as "Falstaffian." So now you see why I have a big problem with pretentious people. :P

I finished reading the second Chrestomanci anthology last night. I didn't think The Magicians of Caprona was that great but I liked Witch Week a lot. What is it with the second book in each volume being better than the first? The Magicians of Caprona did encourage me to get off my butt and look up information on Punch and Judy. Niiiicee....I wonder if it was the biggest inspiration behind all those classic cartoons with characters beating on each other?

I'm trying to knit some pillows for our living room. I vacuumed yesterday and noticed (for the thousandth time) that our throw pillows are old, smelly and disgusting. I'm working on three knitting projects at once now. I feel like I'm losing my mind!

And of course I played Nocturne last night.

Over the past two days with Kristen's help I cleared the Second Kalpa, watched the Majin give their stupid team speech, beat White Rider and made it all the way to Asakusa where I met Sakahagi and the lovely Futomimi (again!). So far the only Majin I've lost once to was the High Priest. He used an instant kill spell on me. =_= My current party consists of my main boy (I named him Ken Hyuga like he's the love-child of two characters from Captain Tsubasa), Futomimi, Amaterasu and Metatron (subbing in for Mothman). No one can beat Metatron! :D

The Amara Deep Zone reminds me of Baroque but with more content and real stuff happening. I saw some cool pictures of Hikawa reading. I don't give a crap about Hikawa, the disillusioned businessman who wants to destroy and recreate the world is such a generic Megaten character!

I was so pissed when the Majin attacked me outside the Terminal in Asakusa! I was even more pissed when Hijiri showed up (and wearing his hat!) I'm tired of people ordering me around.

Sakahagi is....Sakahagi. Because with all communities come deviants. I don't know why anyone would like Sakahagi, unless they'd also have the hots for Tatsuya Sudou from Persona 2.

I don't know if this would have been lost in the English version but when I met with Futomimi for the second time he acted like a blushing schoolgirl who had a crush on the coolest guy in school! (Me.) When he told me I couldn't go into the Holy Land I got the impression that it was his bedroom and he didn't want me to read his diary. I had forgotten what it was like to have a real friend in this game...::sniffs:: There's an odd contrast between Futomimi's appearance and the way he talks. He looks cold and stoic but once he started talking this last time I thought, "Aren't you a cute little puppy?"
