We finally watched the second DVD in Utena's Black Rose storyline. There were only three episodes on the disc, but I didn't feel particularly cheated. Maybe that's because the cowbell episode on the first DVD was so stupid ^o ^. Anyway, it was very good, well worth the wait. I still consider Utena to be my favorite series, even though my anime-watching has definitely tapered off. I've been impressed with very little lately, but I still enjoy watching Utena and genuinely like most of the characters. I even like the ones I don't like, if that makes any sense! Sometimes it annoys me that Utena always has to be so perfect and understanding in her relationships, but she's still gawky enough to be likeable. It was cute to see Tsuwabuki interact with kids his own age--he's a lot more assertive and "normal" than I thought!

Today was a holiday, and EVERYONE had to be home and acting like a bunch of monkeys. I'm thinking of sound-proofing my room.
