Comments on the SD items I received today:
The wig cap on the pink wig is huge! I guess it's to accomodate the larger heads, but.....geez! I think that the curl wig is my favorite of the wig styles, though. Some of the "fantasy" colors would look too clownish in a more severe cut. I'd love to get that wig in light purple, white and orange. Dark brown and mixed wine would be nice, too! Fire engine red looks wrong to me, and so does green. I wonder why? That new blue color is pretty weird, but if I wanted to make one of the SDs look like an alien princess or a mermaid, it might be nice.
That pearl white wig that Kristen ordered for Saffron is so freaking cool! We thought it would just have little braids on the sides, but they're actually mixed throughout the hair. It's an unusual idea, but I think it looks really neat. ^__^ If they made that wig in the lighter blue, I'd get it but unfortunately they don't!
I'm surprised that the gold-brown B eyes are so light. Weren't they supposed to be the darker shade? Gold-brown A must be quite yellow. I ordered them from Minako's stock list because I thought Anise ought to have a pair of Volks glass eyes, and the only other 18mm eyes available were red. No repeats, thank you! ^_^
If Maya can wear those eyes too, that'll be nice! I love the way Zoukei-mura eyes fit the SDs. They just look so...appropriate.
I was sore from shoveling (not too sore, though, thank goodness!) but I went grocery shopping with my mother because she was on call for work and the whole thing would go faster if she had help. I'm sure she doesn't like me helping her because I always run up the bill! Produce is expensive, but she's the one who picked out the bacon-wrapped scallops! (They were $11.99 a box, and they ended up sucking in the end!) We actually did all right this time, though. My back hurt like hell when I had to get the 24 pack of Pepsi from the bottom of the carriage, but other than that.....oh, but it was crowded! I wanted to buy a pomegranate, but they didn't have any. The whole place smelled awful, and there were a lot of unsavory-looking characters doing their shopping. I wonder what was going on? Must be that "a snowstorm's coming and we all have to buy food before it hits!" syndrome. It happens every year.
I'm sorry. I love snow. I love the whiteness of it, I love its clean smell and how dark it makes the house when it covers the skylights. I don't understand how anyone can hate winter. Me, I hate the summer! I can't stand it when the temperature rises over 70 degrees. Maybe when it gets warmer, I should cut my hair?
