My Flower of the Year.

We ordered this jasmine-flowering tobacco from White Flower Farm in the spring. It's technically a night-blooming plant, and at about 4pm every day the white flowers open and fill the air with the scent of jasmine. ^o ^ This is my favorite flower of the year. We're going to try to overwinter the massive pot indoors, but if it sucuumbs we'll have to buy some more plants next year.

Kristen and I went on an excursion with the parents today. We visited a state park in Litchfield that supposedly was some woman's estate and is being preserved according to her will. It was a lovely place, very quiet and pristine. ^__^ Then we went to White Flower Farm (ha ha!) and looked at the pretty flowers. Their peony garden was on its last legs but their rose garden was lovely. I am now obsessed with white foxglove.

I wore my black Skechers and they ripped holes in the backs of my ankles. OwwwwwwwwWWWWWWWWWW! O_o I grabbed those shoes at the last minute because I didn't want to wreck my new ones hiking, and boy do I regret it! One ankle has a huge blister on it, and the other one flaps of hanging skin. I am in so much pain right now. At least the flowers were pretty...
