Tornado Warning!

We got one yesterday. ;_;

There was no tornado, though, as far as I know. We get a tornado warning about once a year, and this one just specified Waterbury as the target, but...;_;...was I ever scared! It was stormy yesterday but with the exception of the tornado threat it wasn't that bad. I piled tons of pillows on top of my SDs and hid in the bathroom downstairs and played Mario and Luigi on my Gameboy Advance SP until the storms passed. That's the only room in my house without windows. I don't want to have to go through this again this year. ::shudders:: It was freaking scary.

A few nights ago I attempted to make a button-down shirt for Emilio out of this light blue stretch poplin I bought almost a year ago. I used James' pattern and it looked easy enough, but I ended up having quite a bit of trouble with it. I've never been great at easing sleeves into the armholes and it was especially hard with this shirt. =_= I finished the shirt after all and it looks okay but I was surprised by how long it took me to make. I think Claudia's dress was easier, even with the pintucks and the bow at the back and everything.

On the bright side, our moonvine's first flower opened tonight. It's huge and white. ^_^ Also, the black kitty came to visit today. I was wearing shorts and couldn't let her on my lap to claw me to death, and I don't think she liked that.
