The Scar From My Past.

The only 1/6 scale head I ever painted that ended in complete failure was the NDR #4. I had gone out of my way to get one and rooted it myself only to find it too little and weird to paint. It turned out that the head I was looking for was actually the #5, which is much bigger. Proportion-wise, they look similar, but the #4 in tiny. I think the #5 might be the head Takara used for Raph, but I'm not sure.

Anyway, even though I'm not due to paint another doll for a while, in the spirit of the season I decided to give this maligned head another try:

Depending on how I feel about him over the next couple of days, this doll's name might be Noah. ^____^;...He has a big forehead! I still don't know what to think of him. Maybe I'm not used to painting realistic head molds, maybe I did a crappy job on him, I dunno. ^^;...He looks weird to me, but then again now that I've painted him all my other dolls are starting to look weird to me as well.
