Feb. 28th, 2005 11:44 pmThat's what it looks like outside. Nor'easter time!
We made black bean chili for dinner tonight. Kristen's arm was bothering her because of the snow and she couldn't do any chopping. I did it! :D It wasn't really that much but I had to peel six cloves of garlic and the skins shoved themselves into my nailbeds and hurt me. ^o^....I think my hands are going to smell like garlic all week. Showering won't remove that smell! Supposedly rubbing your hands with a silver spoon will, but..what the hell. How would that work?
Argh. I don't mean to sound so negative. I'm actually not in a terrible mood. I find that whenever I start to feel myself slipping into a pit of despair it's because I skipped my daily workout or something equally stoopid. I've tried the self-help books and St. John's Wort pills for depression but the only thing that's ever helped has been a brisk walk or weight-lifting.
I remember a while ago I had a dream that I was back in my high school gym class and we were playing volleyball. I've always been hopeless at sports and I always was making an ass of myself in front of my classmates. But this time I told my teammates "I've been working out and I'm don't know what I'm capable of!"
I actually wasn't that bad at archery provided that I did some weight-training over the summer. I hit the bulls-eye! Then there was the time I almost shot my teacher, ah, good memories....XD!
Speaking of good memories, I'm listening to a particularly overblown track on one of the Samurai Troopers soundtracks as I type. If anyone's familiar with the show (or its English incarnation, Ronin Warriors) it's the one that was playing when Kaos (the Ancient One) showed Shuten (Anubis) the character of Loyalty on his forehead. (They also played it another 500 times in the show.) I would love to have my alarm clock play this song because I would always feel like I had to wake up and make some important discovery. ^o^;...I could set my entire life to that show's soundtrack, it's so cheesy and '80's!
