Easter Eggs.
Mar. 27th, 2005 01:42 amFor a nighttime activity, nothing quite beats covertly dyeing Easter Eggs on your bedroom floor. ^o^
Looks like we'll be in for some thunderstorm activity in a few days. It's funny how it jumps from winter to spring overnight.
I'm knitting a MSD sweater out of this peach-colored ribbon yarn we had left over from another project. It's not going to be for Jun, obviously! I figured I'd better use up some of that extra yarn before I buy any more. As it is, I've had to designate an entire dresser drawer for knitting supplies. I'd love to have that space back! Ribbon yarn is kind of funky to work with but it's still easier than the stuff with tinsel!
I'm back to playing Tales of Destiny II. I'm at the very end of the game and I'm trying to figure out who's making my party suck and earn negative Grade Points. I think it might be Kyle!
I bought the Japanese version of Ys: The Ark of Napishtim when it came out but I only tried it out today. The CG sequences Konami added for the PS2 version were so god-awful that I decided to try the "cheat code" that works with the U.S version to turn on the Japanese voice track and anime cut scenes. You basically slash colored crystals in a particular order in the "Cheats" room they give you access to when you start a game file. I wasn't sure how a code for the U.S version would work on a Japanese copy but I was desperate.
It worked. Not only did I manage to purge the game of hideous CG cut scenes but I've also been awarded with ENGLISH SUBTITLES. How weird it that? The voices are still in Japanese but I'm glad, glad, glad the text is in English because the Japanese font was tiny and blurry. Hwah ha ha! I want more Japanese games with hidden English subtitles!
::says the lazy Japanese student who's been nursing a headache for the past three days::
