Take Your Predictions and Shove Them!

Today was one of those days when all the weather forecasters were like yeah, ha ha ha New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Southern New England, tornadoes for you! O_o If it weren't for what happened in Greenwich I wouldn't have freaked out nearly as much but it totally ruined my day knowing that if the sun came out we would be in for hell! But it didn't and there were no tornadoes. I'm tired. =_=

I spent the afternoon lying around (in terror) and playing Final Fantasy IV Advance. I flew into a rage because a dwarf blocked my way to the inn and wouldn't move, dammit! Old RPGs can be so slow!

I've stopped reading Fruits Basket for the time being and picked up Gokinjo Monogatari because the melodrama is driving me crazy. I've read up to Vol. 13 of Furuba and I don't know when I stopped losing sleep over the characters' miserable backstories and started thinking they were annoying. I think that maybe the problem is that the only characters I even remotely like are Hatori and Momiji and Hatori at least is hardly ever in it.

I like Gokinjo Monogatari. I heard it made a terrible anime but the manga is good. I like slice-of-life stories. It's too bad we only have two volumes...I haven't really enjoyed manga since I finished Please Save My Earth. Petshop of Horrors was fun too but it was hardly deep reading.

I didn't feel like cooking tonight and tried the Trader Joe's Artichoke Risotto. It was good! I've only had the Mushroom Risotto before but I think Artichoke is better. I used to love risotto but making it is always a pain. Who wants to stand over a burner stirring rice for thirty minutes? In my eight-years' experience as a cook I've made parmesan risotto, smoked gouda risotto with sauteed mushrooms (really good, a ton of work and really heavy!) and vidalia onion risotto with feta cheese. What sucks about risotto is that you can't save it and the only person who likes it besides me is Kristen. =_= That, and you have to stir it constantly for a half hour.
