A Friday Like All Fridays.
Aug. 4th, 2006 09:02 pmMy stomach hurts.
Last night we had another big storm. We had a few brown-outs but we didn't lose power. It's a good thing because we don't have many flashlights and I'd have to rely on the light from my Nintendo DS to help me through the darkness.
I finished Vol. 2 of Gokinjo Monogatari and I'm very sorry I don't have the remaining 3-7 books. I almost wish I could sell all my Furuba manga and clear off more shelf space for series I actually like. =_= Why does it have to hurt so bad? ;_;
I received something in the mail at the beginning of the week that I've been waiting for twelve years to see. ^_^;...They finally released the junior high part of the original Captain Tsubasa T.V series on DVD! My code-switchable player is bleeped up and I have to use my Japanese PS2 to play them. The junior high part came in two box sets and the second one just came in. They cost me a bit of money but I'm very happy to be able to see the series in Japanese. I originally watched the Mexican dub and I admit my Spanish is better than my Japanese but there were quite a few lines that didn't make sense in the Mexican dub that I'm finally figuring out in the original language.
Oh, and ha ha, Hefner(weird-haired West German goalie) has the same seiyuu as Dist in Tales of the Abyss. He doesn't talk much but when he does it's pretty funny. I noticed that in the T.V series that Schneider doesn't have a German accent. But man, his voice is high-pitched!
Memories....^o^ Wakashimazu sounds so cute but he's too quiet! Both his and Hyuga-kun's seiyuu do a much better job in the junior high chapter. I remember that in the early episodes that Hyuga mostly sounded like he was reading his lines....^o^
( Up to Chapter 5 in Valkyrie Profile: Silmeria )
