A Cold Night!

Last night it was cold enough to open the windows for the first time in months! I love cold nights but I couldn't really sleep because I kept shivering and thinking about how chilly it was. ^o^ I'll enjoy it while it lasts!

There's a huge black insect bouncing against one of the skylights in the hall outside my parents' bedroom. As long as it doesn't come in here...

I only have a few more episodes of Captain Tsubasa to watch and then I'm done with the last box set. It's weird to think that I've probably watched every episode but the last four a hundred times when I was younger. I never managed to tape the end of the last game! Oh well. This is coming from someone who, when she was in junior high, had to watch Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves EVERY SINGLE NIGHT or risk having a nervous breakdown, even on school nights, I still don't know what the heck drove me to do to that except maybe Will Scarlett. ^o ^;

But up until that box set came in I had pretty much given up on anime. Sometimes I worry that I'm slipping into a habit that could detach me from reality and mess me up in the long run even more than I am now. I'm just remembering a part of that book She's Come Undone where the main character is excited because she found an old show she used to watch on satellite TV and her elderly friend pitches a holy fit and screams at her to sell the dish and buy a car to go places in.

But Captain Tsubasa is a precious part of my childhood! It helped me learn Spanish and make good friends! O_O
