Totally Useless!

I haven't been able to do anything fun for the longest time. Last Sunday I was angrily peeling potatoes when my hand slipped and I slashed my left index finger right through the nail. Blood immediately began to flow! Then I put a band-aid on it and the blood soaked through that and started to drip out. It's not a huge cut but I guess there are a lot of blood vessels in your fingers...I've been dabbing it with tea tree oil whenever I change the bandage and it feels much better now but the nail is split halfway down and I'm probably not going to be able to knit until it grows out. ;_; At least I don't need my left hand to write....

I am so annoyed that I can't knit. I'd been working on Knitty.com's Grace sweater and I wanted to finish it quickly! I'm making it for Kristen out of Swish Superwash Wool in Ballerina. I hope I can pick it up again soon!

This morning three monarch butterflies visited the asters in our front yard. By the end of the day they were still there. I wonder if they're migrating?
