My posts have becoming less and less frequent, mwa ha ha! Sometimes I wonder why I even pay for this account but they're axe-ing free accounts, aren't they?

So...my older brother is still living with us. His temporary disability won't end until the 12th, and even then I personally don't think he's ready to go back to work. You'd think this would be like a nightmare situation but we've been getting along all right. We talk about video games and books sometimes. He still isn't a nice person, especially when you're trying to cook him something and nothing is ever good enough for him....:0 Well, we've been coping just the same. A broken femur is a terrible injury to recover from, especially when the pills they put you on to manage the pain cause more pain than the injury (oxycodone APAP, the opiate pain-killer from hell.) I can't say when life is going to return to normal. I feel like it never will, but I've learned over the past month that I can adapt to pretty much anything, even playing nursie to my former-most hated family member.

So I haven't been posting because I've been busy. Busy in a good way more than a bad way. Hell, most of my privacy is gone but these days I'm happier outside my shell than in. Who knows. Maybe when this is all over I can start living like a normal person for the first time in my life? XD

On the gaming front, for the past three weeks I had been obsessively playing Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Yes, it's an old as hell game but I never played it before! I mostly picked it up because I wanted to find some common ground with my brother (he's not an import gamer). I ended up becoming so nuts about it that I played it for three hours a night, until I burst a capillary in my eyeball! O_o But it's over now, I've finished it. ;_; It was the first game I finished since last summer. Well, it was only 14 hours long...

And now I'm playing Star Ocean: The First Departure for the PSP. For someone who spent a little time playing the SFC version, I think the remake is much better. The story is mediocre but the characters are pretty fun and the background graphics are very nice. I've been playing the game for 27 hours now. I took some time off from the plot to run an illicit business of alchemising Iron into Philosopher's Stones and selling them for a profit, woo hoo!
I have Ratix at level 70 but I think that's a bit high for where I'm at.

I think that the PSP is the most awesome console ever. It's so much better than the NDS. I actually bought the PSP version of Tales of Rebirth...okay, I'll admit now that I had sold my original copy last year but I wondered if I was being unfair. To be honest, it was just the story in the second half of the game that was bad. I liked most of the characters, so it wasn't a disaster for me like Tales of Symphonia.

I have Tales of Innocence for the NDS as well. I'm about 18 hours into that. It's not a bad game at all but for some reason I'm enjoying SO1 more. I've always been more of a Star Ocean fan than a Tales fan, I guess.
