Seedling Update.

As of this morning: ten sunflowers, twelve cosmos. I sowed bachelor's button seeds in fifteen little peat pots. I've never tried doing those from seed before. I hope they work out!

The strawberries growing in the side garden taste good. Time to consider it a serious strawberry patch and start watering them regularly!

Early this morning when I was taking out the trash, I found a half a robin's egg shell lying on the walk. I haven't seen one of those around since I was ten years old. Something is definitely changing around here! I haven't seen a single starling in our yard this year. I hope the robins continue to consider our yard their home. Some of my favorite childhood memories are of hunting around the yard for remnants of bright blue robin's eggs. On more than a few occasions I found a whole egg!
