Neverending Projects.
Jan. 3rd, 2011 04:40 pmI have to learn to pace myself, or I'm going to do myself some damage one of these days.
The Chiika is all done and boiled. I just have to wait until her hair dries before I can unbraid her curls and reveal her to the world. So far it looks like she turned out pretty well. Much better now that you can see her expressive eyebrows! With those thick pink bangs her eyes looked like swirly bulls-eyes....she looked like @_@.
I already have another project lined up for myself. I'm forcing myself to take a few nights off so I don't give myself tendinitis. For this new project, I'm going to have to figure out how to do a topknot like that black-haired Totoco Hakama Aya has. Actually, I'll be rerooting a Limited Edition Aya with silver hair and the same hairstyle, so she'll look like a color variant of that doll.
I've always liked that Aya's dark gray eyes, but her straight, dark brown hair is rooted so thinly that if the wind changes direction, she has bald spots. Good Ayas are hard to come by. When I find them I treasure them above all my Jenny dolls. I've never done a topknot before, but at least I have a good model to work from. I hope I don't screw it up. ::cries::
