So I finally took the plunge and gave one of my rerooted dolls bobbed hair. XD

This little girl used to be Volks Nakoruru. Remember her? I was always in love with her wistful expression, but her hair quality was, frankly, the pits. I still can't believe I made her into a blonde. Her hair is actually a blend of Restoredoll Ash Blonde and HiHo Silver saran. It turns out that navy blue eyes are about the worst to match with a complimentary hair color...

I renamed this doll "Lili" after Leslie Caron's character in the movie of the same name. Of course, that Lili had brown bobbed hair. Close enough...

I don't know how it looks to most people, but I love this dish a lot. It's not much like the Country Captain Chicken I was brought up with, though. That was just two cans of stewed tomatoes with some curry powder and celery thrown in, poured over boneless chicken breasts, and sprinkled with currants. I think its origin was from the Joy of Cooking...though I'd be surprised if my mother consulted the recipe more than once every five years. It was nasty.

This dish, however, is really, really good and full of spicy and fruity flavors. XD The recipe doesn't call for you to take the bone-in chicken thighs out, shred the meat and add it back to the dish. I do that all the time because it keeps people happy. No one likes to wrestle with bones in the middle of a stew!

Here's a flowering shrub for you.

Our deck really took a beating this winter. It was buried under four feet of snow at some point, after all. It's going to need to be restained, at least. I think that in this picture it looks like it's on the verge of collapse. XD
