The final butterfly bush.

In this picture, the flower looks like it's dancing with its arms outstretched. XD

Is that they taste the same as store-bought cucumbers. But hey, those cucumber seeds were free! One of my cucumber plants has seven cucumbers on it, and the other has three. I don't know if it's the same way with all varieties, but my cucumbers have spikes on them, so sharp that I almost drew blood on my fingers when I picked one.
The first tomatoes were all right. I should have let them ripen on the plant a little longer. These plants aren't putting out as many tomatoes as the ones I grew last year. Then again, last year I lost half my crop to blossom-end rot.
By the end of next week I should have at least five Fairy Tale eggplants to cook with. They look so cute with the little purple and white veined fruit dangling off them. They might have given me a hard time at the start of the season, but they're shaping up to be my favorite edibles of the summer.
Man...cilantro burns itself out quickly and goes to seed too fast to be useful. Dill is the same way. I think that the only herb that doesn't get ugly by mid to late summer is parsley. Long live parsley!
The Solar Flash sunflowers bloomed today. I'll take a picture tomorrow. Shame on Burpee for providing a photoshopped picture of the flowers on their website that makes the center eye look strawberry pink! It's actually chocolate brown. They're still pretty cute, though.
This isn't the first time I've fallen victim to seed catalog photoshop. I don't remember where I got my Stokes aster "Peachie's Pick," but the catalog photos presented it as an awesome sky blue color. It's really light purple. Boo...
