Sedum a.k.a. Stonecrop. Flowering for the first time in a long time., a photo by Leenechan on Flickr.
Soon we'll be planting next year's peonies! Here's a picture of some sedum a.k.a. stonecrop, a succulent plant that has no problem with being hacked into smaller pieces and redistributed throughout the yard.
Thanks to Hurricane Irene, our peony Paula Fay has been nearly decapitated. I hope losing the foliage before frost doesn't hamper it too much next year.
