Poppy Anemones are Fabulous.

Our local nursery put up its online catalog last week, so we visited today looking for oriental poppy "Patty's Plum, daylily "Lime Frost" and Japanese iris "Freckled Geisha."

They had none of the above in stock. We did, however, find these gorgeous poppy anemones. This lovely purple one came in a pot with a red and white flower, which you can see on my flickr photostream. We also bought a double-flowered red one. I think we're going to have to dig these up and store these inside for the winter. Oh, but they are so beautiful...
