"Iobelle" was one Griffith Buck rose I was on the fence about because 1). it's a fussy hybrid tea rose and 2). compared to the hybridizer's other roses it isn't widely grown. As one might tell from the bicolor petals, it's an offspring of the famous hybrid tea rose "Peace." And I think that it's damn beautiful. Since it's only hardy to Zone 6, it's staying in a pot.

I think that it looks like a watercolor painting.

I have nothing better to do but run outside again and again to admire "Iobelle." I'm overjoyed to find a rose that doesn't show off its stamens too quickly! The flower is really huge but doesn't nod like "Silver Shadows."

I hope it does well for the rest of the season because I love this rose very much.
