Still Impressed by "Simon Estes."

And here I was worrying that this rose would be a dud!

Now I'm not surprised that it balled the first flush because of the wet weather. It has a very impressive 40+ petal count. This flower is three inches across, but I think that the blooms can reach four inches. It reminds me a lot of a clear pink version of the Austin rose "Lilian Austin." It must be pretty obscure, though, because until I submitted my photos there were only two pictures of it on helpmefind.com. Kristen submitted a photo, too, because she couldn't stop thinking about it.
