My Most Intriguing Buck Rose.

But like all vivid pink and red roses, "Simon Estes" is so hard to photograph!

I find this rose even more fascinating than "Distant Drums." It's like a freaky Buck/Austin rose hybrid. I had expected it to be a hot pink clone of "Winter Sunset." Considering it's shared parentage, I think it bears a resemblance to both "Lilian Austin" and "Gallicandy." After all, "Simon Estes" and "Lilian Austin" are part "Yeoman" and "Gallicandy" is part "Othello" which is part "Lilian Austin!" XD Well, if "Gallicandy" blooms next year, we'll see if they're really similar!
