Oh, the roses that droop...
Sep. 3rd, 2012 11:07 amDavid Austin Rose "Scepter'd Isle" has been our slowest growing rose of its class. I looked out my bedroom window this morning to see a smallish, apparently unimpressive flower drooping near the base of the plant. I ventured outside with trepidation, expecting to see the bloom crawling with thrips. It was actually perfect.
Much nicer than its first bloom! Unfortunately, I have to hold it up to photograph it because it's literally inches from the ground.
It goes to show you that pretty much any rose is better than "Moondance"...
