Finally, A New Doll Finished!

Finally, I managed to finish a project of my own. For the past few weeks I've been sewing outfits for Kristen's dolls. I enjoyed that a lot but I didn't feel right posting them here and stealing her thunder. ^o^ Now, I finally have something to show!
This dolly began life as a High School Izumi. Kristen picked her up for me in Japan in 1999. I always thought she had a pretty face but her raggy blond hair does nothing for her huge forehead. I had come close to selling her a few times but now that we're rerooting dolls I thought that maybe we could spare her.

Okay, maybe it was wrong for us to mess with an out-of-production, limited edition doll? I'd do it again if I had the chance! :D Kristen rerooted her with Restoredoll hair in CM Midnight. I repainted her odd green and purple eyes in shades of copper. And here she is!

I've renamed her Gerda. She's another character from my story. I think she definitely looks better now that she has bangs to minimize her forehead size. I actually made the dress she's wearing a long time ago out of forest green stretch velvet. I think it suits her but I'm planning on making her something else later...
