Pure Neemo Dolls Are So Cute!
Jan. 9th, 2009 01:37 pmIt's been a long time since I've bought a doll without the intention of customizing her. Over the past few years I've become disinterested in Volks commercial dolls; their hair and clothes are always disappointing, and only a few of them have nice eyeprints. Well, as of the past six months, I've become dangerously attracted to Azone's Pure Neemo dolls. In these troubled economic times, they're too expensive to collect religiously, but I have managed to pick out a few favorites.

Kristen got me this Himeno for my birthday last October. She's actually the second release of the doll; I think the first one had a different tie on her blouse. Like all the dolls of the series she was designed by Omoiataru, but I think her eyeprint is much more detailed than the others. Who are still really cute.

This one is my treasure, Cotton Candy Miu. I got her from Amazon.com of Japan via Celga. She was an Amazon exclusive, like Sugar Cherry Chiika, Blueberry-holic Nightmare and Strawberry-holic Aika. They had her on sale for 7,600 yen--her original price was much higher than that. She's my favorite because I love dolls with dark bobbed hair. Her bright blue eyes are a really nice contrast.
The problem with these dolls is that not only are they expensive, but once they sell out you'd have to sell off an organ in order to get one off the secondary market. Nowadays, they seem like they're the only 1/6 scale dolls that are really popular. I'm just going to try to have fun with the ones I have. ^o^
