In one of the later shots you can see the job we did pulling up the old brown carpet. Our living room is starting to look classier..uh huh...

Thank you! :D He does look nice lying on the dark brown floor. Sometimes at night when he's relaxing in the low light it's like there's a halo around him. I can't help but laugh when he looks that cute.

Excuse me for barging into your journal like this! I was rooting a doll head this afternoon and thought "I wonder what ever happened to the Sakura Tea Room!" (which I used to visit a LOT when I was in college and was a huge help to me in my early doll hobby days) And lo and behold, I found you have an LJ XD

I'm very glad to hear that I hear the Sakura Tea Room was a help to you! I had a lot of fun times working on that page. I still have all my custom dolls and a lot of the commercial dolls with me. Those were such innocent times! ::sniffles::

Yeah...I graduated from college in 2003, and found your page around that time. That's how I found out about the Doll and Hobby Shoppe! I remember placing SO MANY ORDERS from them...and borrowing a camera from my university's photography department to take pictures of my dolls! Your gorgeous dolls kept me encouraged that someday I'd achieve that level of skill, but to remember it wasn't easy for you!

I'm glad you've got your custom dolls, still! Even after all my years of art school, I still think your painting and rooting looks amazing :D
I've continued making 1/6 dolls on and off over the years, before getting into the larger dolls maybe...4 years ago, I think? But I'm trying to get back into my HUGE supply of base bodies. I knooow! It really does feel like a lifetime ago!

No worries! I've really got to start doing more with my journal, but for now, have some artwork!

I love your art! My personal favorites in your LJ gallery are 3-Colour Davey and 3-Colour Fiore. I love their poses and facial expressions.

Your "Nocturne for Ivy" is just gorgeous! Some of the images showed up in a dream I had last night, which is pretty impressive for something I've only read through twice!

I really appreciate it...I've been so involved in my PhD the last few days as I have a deadline on Monday, and I've been so stressed and have reached the point where it's impossible to tell if my work is any good or not, so you really helped! ♥
