...is that you can find a doll that was being scalped last week on Amazon for $100 on sale this week on QVC for below retail.

Thankfully, I got the doll from QVC. XD

I'm not sure what attracted me to Peanut Big Top, because she's loud and bright and clashes all over. Maybe as a child of the 80's I look at her and am reminded of Cyndi Lauper?

Or maybe one of those Macross idol singers...

Peanut was my reward to myself for putting up with last week's disaster.

I'm finding Amazon pretty useless as far as getting dolls is concerned. I've been looking at the Disney Animators Collection dolls and they are SO marked up on Amazon. Thank goodness Aimee linked to the Disney Store which has them at, unsurprisingly, regular retail. I feel bad for the poor people who get suckered in at Amazon thinking it's the best deal. I wish they could police their sellers better.

I'm not sure! I think it might be because she was a first series doll and sold out in all the online shops. For a long time, at least! Then I heard that some people found her at Costco and I saw her on QVC for $22 XD...the same thing happened with Bea Spells A Lot. Now their Z-shops price has dropped to around $50. I wonder if after awhile the scalper price will go up again...it's so ridiculous, considering that the doll isn't even limited edition.

Yeah, it is pretty ridiculous (the price)! I think you can still find her if you really look around. Heck, I was able to still find the limited edition easter mini at one of the Target's in my area! I was shocked it was on the shelf with the regular ones this late in the year!

I don't have a problem with people on eBay who start the auctions at retail and have the price skyrocket. But having a Buy-It-Now price of $75 for a doll that costs $24.99 in a shop and came out in stores the same week? That should be against the law.

I am so angry at myself for buying Rosy Bumps'N Bruises (the doll with the blue flip hairstyle) from a scalper for $45. I thought she was so rare, and now I'm seeing her at Toys R Us for $19.99!

I'm relatively new to the Lalaloopsies, so I didn't realize that even the older dolls pop up in stores every couple of weeks. I'm used to the Japanese fashion dolls that are only produced in limited quantities, and once they're gone, they're gone.

I feel like a real idiot for paying more than retail for one of these dolls, only to see her put on sale in shops the following week. Never, never again!

Amazon is pretty bad because they keep shipping dolls from these online toy shops that charge whatever they want. I guess they only find it important to keep the cost of books low?

Yeah, just make it a habit to check your local Walmart/Kmart/Target/TRU stores! Especially with it being Christmas season, they are gonna go on sale! The big dolls went on sale for $19.99 and the little ones at $4.99 at Target recently so they are bound to go on sale again!

I just found the original Jewel Sparkles and Ember Flicker Flame at my local Target. I know that Ember is a new release, but I've seen Jewel for sale on Amazon for $50.

The only one I'm hunting around for now is Pillow Featherbed. Only if I can get her for below retail. XD

I don't think I've seen Pillow Featherbed yet. I'm chasing after the new minis and those toddler Lalas that came out at TRU! I want 2 of them cuz they are just toooooo cute!
