Oh, my "Quietness" that's really "Quietness"...

...how I love you.

I kept hearing that "Quietness" looked like an Old Garden Rose but from pictures I always thought it looked like a hybrid tea. Wrong! In person it's a huge, squashy flower like a Bourbon Rose with a bazillion petals. Absolute perfection. I'm so glad I was able to get my mitts on this rose in a timely fashion and see it bloom!

This happened last year when I was waiting for my poppies to bloom. I actually had a dream last night that something had happened to "Quietness" and I wasn't able to see it flower. In the dream I had been keeping it in a pot instead of in the ground, and somebody stole it! I hope that having a nightmare about missing a flower's first bloom isn't a sign of insanity.

I honestly wouldn't mind having multiple plants of this superlative rose.
