It's my favorite month of the year, but almost everyone in my household is sick with a cold. That is, everyone but me and Kristen. O_O I guess we're just too tough for the virus!

I decided to test out Xenosaga Episode Two this weekend without any intention of really getting into it. I need a break from that series, but I wanted to see how different it was from the first game. So...

The new CG models will take some getting used to. The graphics seem to have been downgraded during battles as well...ho hum. I only played the game for about twenty minutes but so far the gameplay is more remniscent of Xenogears than Episode One. The music during the cutscenes isn't too bad. The battle theme is AWFUL. It sounds like it belongs in Suikoden. O_O;...Still, it'll be nice to have more music overall...hm....

And then there's Jin. JinJinJin. *^_^* Monolith is screwing with me this time, just when I was wondering if I should give up on the series! How dare they play with me by having Jin burst onto the scene in a mobile suit that looks almost exactly like Citan's in Xenogears, then popping out and looking like Citan and sounding like him too! Why why why?

Of course, because I played Xenogears in English I didn't hear Citan's Japanese voice except for during battle, and when Jin opened his mouth the first thing I thought about was Roberto Hongo from Captain Tsubasa, who has the same seiyuu as well. ^o^

Is this the game programmers' way of tempting the disgruntled players with a carrot, like Namco did with Judas in Tales of Destiny 2? What better way to entice people into buying your game than by waving a popular character(or the spitting image of a popular character)from a previous game in their faces?

I'm hoping that Jin will keep me interested in Episode Two. I miss Shitan-sensei so much...;_;...That series needs an authority figure to kick the other characters' asses!
