I managed to set the curls on my doll's hair today. I tried to make them a little smaller than I usually do for the sake of variety. They turned out a-okay but it's unfortunate that whenever you style a doll's hair in curls you lose a lot of length. When I started out her hair was down to her knees and once I trim off the ends it's only going to reach mid-back. ^^;

I have to be careful about sewing her outfit because she has one of those Beauty-type bodies with the HUGE chests. (I used it to model the NEO head I listed on eBay.) I don't really care for the big-busted bodies but it was the only one Frank had at the time and it came with an SH-06 head! ^o^

I still have a few heads left to root but I'm going to rest for now. Bad things happened the last time I rooted three heads in a row!

I've been writing a little every night. Unfortunately the short story has become a fledgling novel. This always happens to me! O_O I guess the important thing is to get it on paper, I can revise it later.

I'm still playing Ys 6. I wonder why Konami/Falcom decided to have two key characters and a bunch of incidentals be played by the guy who was Hisoka in Hunter x Hunter? O_o Stoic village elder? Bad-ass mercenary? Random old man in town? And you know what, they all sound like Hisoka!

I'm so jealous how you seem to finish projects so easily ..! I started rooting a head four years ago and it's still in the my doll box, not even half finished .. But maybe now there's an easier technique to rooting 1/6 heads than from what I used to do? I saw a rooting tool on eBay yesterday that looked like a mini pitchfork almost.

I'm not sure how fast I am at rooting compared to most people. If I'm motivated, I can root a head in about a week using the old-fashioned needle-knot method. If I'm not in the mood it just drags, though!

There probably are faster rooting methods but I think the needle-knot method is the most basic and easy to understand. Unfortunately it's also the most time consuming. I'm sure a lot of people would say I'm crazy for doing it but it seems to be the most sturdy if you want to do extensive styling later on, and if you use saran it seems to be the best way to do it. ^^;...
