Why does it have to hurt all the time?
Jun. 30th, 2005 01:52 pmWhenever we have a lot of thunderstorms over the course of a few days my stomach hurts the whole time. Is it nerves or something physiological? Maybe I should drink some green tea, that usually helps. Bigelow Green Tea with Lemon isn't bad considering that their green tea in general tastes like cigarette ash. My favorite brand is Yamamotoyama but stores around here don't carry it any more. =_=
Since I'm obviously not going to be able to see Howl's Moving Castle (and I don't know why I've been fixated on seeing that movie, I just am) I picked up a copy of the book it was based on. I know they changed quite a bit for the movie but the book is so good I can hardly put it down. It's been a while since I read a book I enjoyed this much. It brings tears to my eyes! *^^* It's my dream to write books like that. Children's literature is nice because it has to maintain a degree of simplicity in order to appeal to its audience and you don't usually see the pretension and self-importance that bogs down a lot of adult literature.
I'm taking a break from if.... That game is starting to irritate me but I'm sure I'll return to it soon. The next game in my stockpile is Digital Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner. I only played it for an hour late last night and I can't give any real impressions. The battle system is fun and the text is hard to read. I must stop referring to Heat as "Midorikawa." Like, I was fighting a battle in that Hideout of the Chickens and I was like "That demon just hit Midorikawa in the junk!" I assign nicknames to characters in RPGs, it's an odd habit of mine. ^__^
Sorry to hear about your troubles...
Date: 2005-06-30 06:34 pm (UTC)How far are you from Hartford? There's a tiny four-screen theatre that's playing Howl's Moving Castle... even if you've already read the book, it may be fun to see the movie as well. :) (The version I saw there was dubbed, but I enjoyed it quite a bit.)

Date: 2005-06-30 06:46 pm (UTC)I'm about 40 minutes from Hartford but I need to look into that theater! Thanks for the info! I was concerned because according to rottentomatoes.com they would only be showing it for a few days more. Gack!
I wouldn't mind watching it dubbed in the theater. I think my mother wanted to see it and she wouldn't tolerate subtitles! ^^ Other than that, I'm going to have to wait for it to be released on DVD. I hope it comes out before the end of the year!

They had posters for March of the Penguins when we went... I hope they'll show it soon. :)
Thanks! ^_^

Don't worry about not having a steady hand--even after 5 years of customizing I still have my problems! The most important thing is to enjoy what you do--that'll help you get over the little (and big) frustrations more than anything.
