Happy Halloween ^o^!
Nov. 1st, 2002 12:25 amYaah.......
We got, like, one trick-or-treater here for Halloween. I dun care, because I think Halloween is a crappy holiday. No, seriously. The candy is cheap. Holidays are all about food, and Christmas and Easter have way better candy than Halloween!
I guess that when I was a kid I thought it was fun. But now, to me, Halloween stinks of cheap plastic. It's tacky. Kids don't even get a day off from school because of it! I don't think children should be deprived of dressing up in costumes and begging for candy (I mean, how else can they get to try things their parents won't buy for them, like....those popcorn balls?)but I don't think I'm missing anything by being an adult on Halloween. I remember feeling relieved when my mother told me I was too old to go out trick-or-treating.
Once, my best friend convinced me and Kristen to go along with her and dress up as clowns for Halloween. The white clown makeup gave Kristen such a bad rash that she had to miss a day of school :D! Bwah hah hah.....I was jealous. Nowadays, I'm the only person in the family who gets rashes. I have veeeerrrrrry sensitive skin ^____^;;......like a little baby's ^_^;;....
Speaking of which, I found out my younger brother, who's away at college, has been skipping class. That fool! My parents are paying a ton for his education, because, unlike Kristen and me, he hardly received any financial aid. This angers me. Then again, once, when I had a falling-out with a friend, I skipped one of my classes to stay in my room and tear up his bad, self-indulgent poetry ^_^;;.....
And after I transferred to Trinity, I skipped class because the Bistro was serving carrot cake, and I wanted a piece before they ran out....^^;;...
College food scares me, though. I remember the first time I went to the dining hall at Trinity (I transferred from another school junior year) I was amazed at how much food they served, and the selection. At my old school, if you didn't go to dinner at 5 pm sharp they probably wouldn't have anything left! So naturally, I thought I had it made at Trinity And then...I got food poisoning. It was the marinara sauce! And I heard the bread pudding had mold on it....oh....God.....O_o...someone reported it to the kitchen staff, and they didn't even care.
Where the hell am I going with this? What am I supposed to be writing about? I think I'd better stop now....
