For the past three days I've noticed a weird halitosis-like smell around the kitchen. I couldn't see where it was coming from but I figured something was rotten....being squeamish, I hoped Mom would notice it and do something about it. But it kept getting worse and I decided that since I'm an adult I should just put on the rubber gloves, dig out whatever was reeking up the kitchen and toss it out. And lo and behold, there sat an entire bag of potatoes in plain view on top of a step stool, rotting from the bottom and leaking orange crap all over the place.

Man....O_O I had to toss out the potatoes, scrub the step stool off and then hose everything down with Lysol spray. Who the hell leaves an entire bag of potatoes to go that funky and doesn't ever think to check on them????

My (actually, Kristen's) copy of Tales of Legendia finally arrived today. I ordered it from Play-Asia and they gave me the promo DVD with the trailer to Tales of the Abyss. Watched it, I did. Then I browbeat Kristen into playing TOL until the first save point.

Tales of the Abyss is going to use 3-D character models a la SO3, huh? At first I thought they were cel-shaded but I guess not! I had seen the trailer online earlier and wasn't impressed. It looks much better on the big screen. I heard a little Sakuraba in the music but I wonder if he's doing the entire soundtrack? Hm..hm...I did pre-order the game so I hope it turns out all right! The two main characters don't seem too bad--even though Luke's voice is pretty high at least Tear's voice isn't ear-grating. o_o

I probably haven't seen enough of TOL to form a good impression (and I probably won't until October) but it seems decent. It usually takes me a while to form attachments to characters and I usually never can predict which one I'll like the best until I'm well into the game.

In TOP, I just beat Dhaos a second time and am in the future with Chester as a new party member. Compared to Cless (who's quite the generic hero) Chester is pretty damn annoying but he's funny. I love the face chat where Arche's weird portrait is circling around Chester's and mocking him for looking weak. ^o^ At first I thought TOP looked drab but it just might be my new favorite Tales of... game. Isn't that cliche? :D I still feel like I'm not completely immersed in the series but of the ones I've played my favorites, from most to least, might be TOP, TOD2, TOR, TOS and then TOD. I'm not sure where TOE will fit in but I'm planning on playing it after I'm done with TOP. But I'm wondering if I'm saying that TOS is better than TOD only on principle? I'm trying hard but I can't think of much to like about TOS. =_=
