My Head Hurts...Take Twenty.
Dec. 5th, 2005 01:44 amUhh....I did too much eye work today. Even though I still haven't bought a zipper for sweater #1 I'm steadily knitting sweater #2. Sweater #2 is huge. I guess it's because it's all in garter stitch but I wonder if I'm going to have to put it on a teddy bear instead? Bears in sweaters are cute too. I wish I had a stuffed panda that looked like Tai Shan at the National Zoo. It's not like I could've switched to an even smaller needle size than the #1 needles I'm working with. I just assumed that the work would be oversized and I didn't want it to feel boardy. Heh heh heh....oh well. If it doesn't fit any of my SDs I have a nice bear for it. :D
I haven't felt like rooting lately. That's probably a good thing; the skin on my fingertips will have a chance to heal! I was concerned that my fingerprints had been permanently worn off like I heard happened to some people who worked in a pineapple packing factory but they're still there underneath all that shiny skin. ^^;...
I haven't been logging my progress in TOE lately. I just haven't felt like it. ^o^ I've been playing for 45 hours and I just beat Maxwell. I don't know how I did it. I used Excalibur on him and did 1, 1, 1, 1 damage and then switched to the Vorpal Sword after a few minutes and starting doing like 36, 36, 36 damage. And then suddenly he upped and died. I guess it was because he was old!
I beat the beginner's trivia quiz and received the title "Tales Sensei." Ha ha ha...all the questions that gave me a hard time were regarding TOD, probably because I played that game three years ago and in English instead of Japanese. Anyway, Klarth is the intermediate quiz proctor and even though it was nice to see him his questions are too damn hard! I have no idea who the last proctor is. I have a feeling I won't ever find out!
Kristen has been playing TOL lately. She's in the middle of Chapter 5. It's a very linear game compared to the rest of the series but I think it's very good. Shirley seems like a Colette-ish character but I actually like her. I felt bad for her when Senel rejected her for Stella. I wasn't expecting that kind of love-triangle (or is it a square?)...phew! I thought Shirley was going to either have a nervous breakdown or charge at Senel with a knife! Actually, that would have been pretty funny. It's not that I think that Senel's obligated to reciprocate Shirley's affections, but jeez! Talk about wallowing in a pit of angst!
I don't dislike any of the characters in TOL, even though I think Moses is ugly and Jay's and Chloe's voice actors sound pretty strained.
Hey, Famitsu, how about reviewing Tales of the Abyss? I'm prepared for it to get some 8s but I don't want it to get 7s. I don't know why I care what Famitsu says about a game. After all, didn't they give Grandia III a great score and it ended up sucking?
