Clara And Her New Dress.

The replacement AC adaptor cord for my printer/copier/scanner came in the mail two days ago. I'm pleased to say that it works and I don't have to splurge on a new printer. :D
"Operation Outfit Naked Dollies" has officially begun! Now I'm not a brilliant seamstress, painter or photographer but somehow I feel like I'm making the world (or at least my room) a better place by reuniting with my sewing machine. Tonight I made a dress for my latest doll, Clara, out of fabric that I know I've used before but I think suits her just the same.
Unfortunately, I hadn't realized how skinny the Obitsu female body is. This dress is too big on Clara but it looks fine on the Dynamite SAJ body. =_= I know I said I was going to give her long sleeves but with her knee-length hair I thought she'd look mismatched.

I admit that I'm an intermediate sewer at best. ^o^ There are flaws in my work (not that I feel like pointing them out!) but at the same time I've paid good money for handmade outfits that were much worse quality. (Other than a few Jenny dresses I bought from a particular seller years ago, which are still my treasures).
I've been playing TOA but I don't have much to comment on. I've been playing for 60 hours total but now I'm just messing around and enjoying myself rather than advancing the plot. I tried the battle arena and lost on the third round. Eh heh heh.
I've been reading the last book in the His Dark Materials series lately. I know some people like to compare and contrast the series to Harry Potter but they don't have much in common. All in all I like this series and I'm glad I bought the boxed set but I think it's time I started reading some books for adults. I just picked up a book I bought for a college course on racism that I ended up not needing and read it cover-to-cover. I think my brain is starved for something.
