Tempting 1 Finished!

I heard that if you work steadily on this sweater you can finish it in a week. Obviously it took me much longer.

And here it is, Tempting 1 in Knit Picks Merino Style, Iris with an orchid satin ribbon. The ribbon is a little messed-up in the picture. Oops!

Merino Style turned out to be quite a good yarn for this project! I knitted it on #6 24 and 29 inch circular needles. The pattern called for switching to a 32-inch needle for the yoke but a 29-inch worked out fine. Merino Style has plenty of stretch! I made a Small and the fit is good but I think the bottom is a little on the long side compared to the one pictured on Knitty.com.

I have such a masculine body! ::sniffs::

Thank you! ^_^ At first I thought the ribbon was a little wide but now I realize it's necessary to hold up the top. The pattern was actually designed to be off-the-shoulder but I don't think I've worn anything off-the-shoulder in my entire life. Why start now?

I'm happy you think I'm thin! Unfortunately they say with short people that you can't gain 3 lbs without everyone noticing and it really is true! ::sobs::

I think you look absolutely wonderful! Great color for the sweater and the ribbon... and I think the 2x2 ribs really flatter you and bring out your curves. :)

Thank you ^_^! The color really was a last minute decision and I'm happy it turned out well. The sweater is actually pretty comfortable (unlike my last project, eh heh...) and I hope I can wear it out some time.
