Valkyrie Profile 2 has been hurting my hands. I've only been playing for an hour at night and that's all it takes!

I just finished the forced-loss battle with Frey. Never before had I wanted to hit someone so badly...

And now I have Ahly, Brahms and Aluze in my party. They're all at level 45. I'm at level 60. Where did I go wrong?

Now that I've been playing this game for 78 hours I'm going to have to be honest. Gameplay-wise it's a big improvement over the original VP. In all other aspects I'm disappointed.

It's not that I don't like Silmeria. The battle engine is effective and it offers some lovely sights. I just feel like other than providing VP fans with an updated look at a classic there isn't much point to the game at all. The main cast lacks charm and there's none of the humanity of the orignal VP. Who are you supposed to sympathize with? Other than the awkward romance between Alicia and Rufus there's no emotion between the characters other than "Will you help us?" "Can we trust you?" "You betrayed us!" repeated ad-nauseum. I really think that VP should have been a one-shot series.
