Up With The Tree.

We put up our holiday decorations today. I tried to take a picture of the tree but it didn't turn out. This year everyone took my suggestion and we used all-blue lights. I like my blue, I do. ^o^

Last night I painted a doll and watched the Tai Shan special on Animal Planet. Hard to believe that the little panda cub could be any more adorable than when he's fooling around on the Panda Cam but he was even cuter on the big screen. I hope they air the special again!

Anyway, here's the dolly I painted. Her name is Delphine. I used the Obitsu #2 head and rooted her with RestoreDoll's Plum Crazy hair. I give a lot of my dolls purple hair and I tried to make this one look as different as possible. I'll say, she's different all right! ^-^ I had really wanted her to have pearly blue lipstick but the opalescent medium only works well with translucent colors that don't cover well (like a lot of the oranges). All Liquitex blue colors are quite opaque!

I sewed her coat by hand today. Now I have a massive headache! My sewing machine loves to tear up stretch velvet. =_=
