I Burned My Hand Today.
Nov. 29th, 2006 09:38 pmKitchen burns have been so commonplace around our household lately that no one reacts to them any more. I knocked my hand against a hot oven-proof skillet tonight and all anyone had to say was, "Not again!"
I haven't felt much like posting lately. My aunt has been experiencing rib pain even though she's done with her chemo and radiation. She had an MRI done that was inconclusive and then a PET scan to rule out bone mets, multiple myeloma, etc. She got the results back today and they say she's fine. Cancer-free. Thank God.
Now I just have to wait for the stress-related blemishes on my nose and chin to heal. ^_^;....
I just got a package from Sasuga Books today. It was a backorder that I had placed a while ago for Moto Hagio's Poe no Ichizoku and Touma no Shinzou. I won't be needing any manga for a long time!
I've been writing at least three pages every day. Now my story is one and one-third composition books' long. That's not much of a way to measure progress but it's still progress! I'm hoping that now that I'm not so worried about my aunt I'll be able to concentrate and be more productive. I hate this nagging feeling that something is about to end when things should just be beginning. I can't help it--no matter how introverted I can be my life has always revolved around the people around me.
I just finished Disk One of Soul Hackers, which ended with one of the most awesome scenes in video game history. I'm not sure why I like that scene so much but by the time the machine was calling for Disk Two I was grinning like an idiot.
