Oh, for crying out loud...
Dec. 22nd, 2006 02:34 pmThe first copy of TODr arrived. One day after the second one. O_O
It took 21 days to come in. The box hadn't been damaged or anything! I'm glad that it didn't show up in a ghoulish state, or not at all, because I didn't want Kristen to have to file a claim but now we have to sell off this extra copy. Ha ha ha....
So I finally handed my story-in-progress over to Kristen for some honest criticism. I'm ashamed to say that I got flustered by her suggestions at first, not because I thought she was wrong but because now I feel like I'm building a boat that isn't seaworthy. What would've happened if I hadn't asked for feedback? I'm baffled by writers who can turn in a first draft to be published. Ugh...I think it was E.B White who said that writing is bad for the disposition. Truer words have never been spoken!
Until recently I never thought expensive cosmetics were necessary. But now that practically every drugstore brand has discontinued foundation and powder that matches my skin tone I've had to splurge more often than not. That means I can't collect makeup anymore! XD That's okay, though, because I am so in love with my only Urban Decay eyeshadow (Strip, metallic blue-gray) that I don't need anything else. Their eye pencils are great too! Now instead of having a huge case of makeup I have like....four things but those four items are mighty!
