I'm posting it here because it's prettier than the first. I'm really impressed with the Japanese iris this year. It's hard to believe that we only planted this one in May! Our Siberian Iris "Butter and Sugar", which we planted a few weeks later, has a flower spike as well now. I guess it's just the bearded iris that take longer to get established.

I'm starting to think that iris are some of the best plants around.
