Our First Cosmos. And it's not "Rose Bonbon."

It's "Cosimo Sparkling Wine!"

I'm surprised to see this because I had thought we had only sown "Rose Bonbon" in the front border and this one in pots. I'm glad, though, because all the pot-sown cosmos died. Perhaps "Rose Bonbon" will open up later. We certainly have a lot of cosmos in our yard right now, between the "Sensation" mix that reseeded itself and the "Rose Bonbon," "Sparkling Wine" and "Snowpuff" that we planted. It's fortunate that nothing ate this plants. For the late summer/early fall garden, there's no flower more valuable than cosmos. And you can't really grow it unless you direct sow it...
