September in southern New England is usually a lot hotter than this. For the past few days we've had high temperatures in the sixties and lows in the forties. It's supposed to warm up towards the end of next week. Can we really handle 75 degrees? XD

Here's Alba, my rerooted 2nd Mia, consorting with the sweet autumn clematis. Believe it or not, I did reroot Alba myself. It was not a fun job. That Snow White saran was slippery to work with, and I ended up having to give her even thicker hair than usual because the traces of dark brown paint on her scalp showed through. Still, I think she turned out pretty.

I think I like the clematis with the smaller flowers the best. I also like the idea of vines that bloom in the fall--we need more fall flowers!

I don't know if I think they're cute or gross, but they seem to really like our yard. That's what you get when you plant nine butterfly bushes!

If this caterpillar takes care of itself and pupates successfully, it'll grow up to look like this:

It's strange that the Eastern Tiger Swallowtail caterpillars and the Black Swallowtail caterpillars look so different.
