Who likes caterpillars?

I don't know if I think they're cute or gross, but they seem to really like our yard. That's what you get when you plant nine butterfly bushes!

If this caterpillar takes care of itself and pupates successfully, it'll grow up to look like this:

It's strange that the Eastern Tiger Swallowtail caterpillars and the Black Swallowtail caterpillars look so different.

Doesn't it, though? XD I think they come in green, too. I have no idea what the difference is between them, though...

I was a bit taken aback when I saw it. I see the grown butterflies around the garden frequently, but this is the first time I've seen one of their strange caterpillars.
